That is to say :

Your grandparents did not stomp in the streeets of LA -MOOING out rights using a bullhorn to amplify their big mouths.
They worked hard and had pride in what they earned - because that was what work ment - they were not obsessed in bleeding dry the American taxpayer every April 15th.
Your grandparednts came here legally and waited and were dedported if found unfit ie. no money ..sick .. criminal. Today we as a country with an out of control immigration policy are allowing ANYBODY in , it seems.

Your grandparents did not fill 33% of the jail / prisons like the illegals are doing to us today. Sure they probably got into trouble but def. not such a MEGA scale as we have today. And the costs are piling up - but the American taxpayer is OK with that. Because the American citizen is not strong enough to say , enough is enough - you see, WHITEY is so afraid of being called a racist that he will pay like the fool that he is.

You have no pride and no class.

Interesting question but I would not assumed that all of them do not have pride and class.
We should not single out issues like this to one specific group.
Everywhere you go is a few bad apples and a great good apples.

Readers say this is "well said?" It's true many came legally, working hard to better their lives, but even that was a recent development. We have only recently defined someone as "illegal", because our numbers have increased. Many prisoners and outcasts were dumped on these shores a few centuries ago. I'm sure the same complaints being mouthed here were said by slaves and indentured servants, except the concept of illegal behavior was applied to the very people some boost about. And we don't even need to discuss if Native Americans considered being moved off their land "legal". Yes, I thank sheer luck for being born an American, and just like most readers, I'm not about to change places with anyone. I just find it hypocritical to demonize people who are not much different than previous generations. And as for the cost to the taxpayer: I read once that the pencils and stationary produced for any newly elected government officials costs more than the some budgets for social services. Government officials are just less easily bullied than illegal immigrants, that's all.

Let me add to this...
The generational aspect of this debate is right on. I have found that as a norm from the illegals I have met or had to interface with the first and second generation aliens or illegals had a work ethic and had pride to provide for themselves. Unfortunately the later generations had been assimilated into a cultural acceptance of taking from the system and assumed that it was their right or more politically correct their "entitlement":(
I personally am tired of supporting the illegals, growing up I never took from the system because I felt the decisions I made for my lifestyle were my responsibility to pay for and attain. The only thing I expected from the US government was the opportunity.
We Americans need to speak up and tell the politicians that this path of entry to the US is not acceptable because obviously we have not been loud enough for them to hear us.

It's utterly ridicolus that if you are white and you say deport the illegals you are called a racist. It's not like were saying don't allow any hispanic immigrants. All were saying is we don't want the ones here who do not contribute to American society. We want you to come here legally, learn English, get a job and pay taxes.

My Dad's side came from dirt poor Irish at the turn of the 20th Century and worked their way up from nothing.
Half of my Mom's side, also from that Irish stock. The other half emigrated here legally from Central America in 1905.

My Hispanic grandmother was appalled at the illegal immigrants she saw in California. She said they were an embarrassment to their culture. I agree.

i am with you 100% it will not happen over night, but i needs to happen before we are over run, i read an article stating that by 2050 mexicans will have 52% of the american population and america will turn out just like mexico, a third world country with no education, america needs to grow some balls a stand up to these parasites that threaten our way of life. it is sad, but no politician will say this, because the need the mexicans vote to stay in office, and yes illegals are voting wtf right they have more rights than i do lol

Well said, sir, well said.
My folks came here from Europe in the mid-1800's legally and became productive members of society.
I can't say the same for many of those who sneak into our country illegally with the sole intent of sucking from the government tit.
