eat 3 meals a day with 2-3 snacks, eat high in fiber lik pasta, rice, wheat
drink smoothies, protein shakes, dont go countin calories
as for ur mind, keep tellin urself that ur hungry and eventualy it'll actually believe it (lik at meal times and when u feel slight growl in the tummy) if u keep eating, u'll eventually get use to it and get hungry at a specific time

As someone else said exercise is a must. Also if you smoke, or drink that could be a huge factor, so stop right away. Another reason could be the stress in your life. Sometimes stress makes people loose the will to eat or do much. So try to calm down and relax if you do have a lot of stress.

Get checked out by a Dr - just in case something is wrong.
Otherwise...go for the grains. And maybe even a little junk food in moderation - stuff that you simply like (for instance, pizza, chocolate...etc.) (Granted, items like these aren't all that healthy, but are okay in smaller amounts.. And if you need to gain, go for it.)
