In that dream I saw one of the inmates getting released and asking one of the guards on directions to Miami (whatever that meant). I couldn't find the interpretation of being a jail guard.

Jail guards are "keepers". Therefore your dream indicates that you are trying keep someone or something caged deep inside.

The inmate getting released indicates to me that you are afraid this secret or whatever it will eventually escape and become known to the public..

Are you hiding something...

The inmate getting released sounds like the id-aspect of yourself, a part of yourself that you're not suppressing as much anymore. The jail guard represents the superego that guards against dangerous thoughts. The superego is easing up on this part of yourself. Directions to Miami sounds like the id-part is either asking the superego to guide it, or, telling the superego that it's going to party in Miami! I'm not sure.

Haha - you have to figure out what that one means on your own. Did something happen during the day that made you think of a jail - if so it means nothing. Otherwise - you like the idea of being in a position of power!
