I have a labradoodle (11 months old) that I can't keep free of roundworms. He's had 3 treatment rounds, I've had his backside shaved, and I clean the yard almost daily to keep it free of infected feces. But they still come back a few weeks after treatment. Is there a natural herb that can be added to his diet to keep him roundworm free? He's been to the vet's twice for the worms, has been treated three times (multiple treatments to each round of treatment). I've done everything the vet has suggested, yet they still come back. Anyone have a solution?

Diatomaceous Earth is a natural substance that worms.
I had the same problem with my dogs. After all the rescues, my yard was infected with hook and round eggs so everytime they went our, they were re-infected.
The vet wanted to keep them on a monthly wormer for a year. I didn't like the idea of giving a poison monthly so went to DE. It works!

If there is no way that you can get roundworm pills from your vet, this is what I do to treat roundworms when I don't have any pills.
1. Pick a large handful (or more) of grass that is more than about 8 inches long. Mix it with a can of dog food or raw hamburger. Make sure that the grass is coated in the food.
Feed it to your dog like that.
How it works: The hungry worms go straight for the food and get tangled/caught in the grass. The more the more they try to escape, the more tangled they get. The come out with the grass when the dog poops it out.
2. Feed the dog grease (from cooked bacon, duck, goose, etc), and/or lard.
How it works: The grease makes the dog's stomach and intestines greasy, which causes it to be very slippery for the worms. The worms have nothing to hold on to and come out in the poop. The dog may have greasy-watery poop, but the worms will be gone.
There is no vet in my town, and I don't go out to the city that often. When I do go to the city I buy pills for my dogs and dogs/puppies that I rescue, but I run out in a few months.

genuinely, you're far from vibrant for the reason which you have been stated now for having weed - do not you think of there's a communicate board that reads those messages on yahoo - dumb flow fella. although, as on your canine's roundworms - there's a rather uncomplicated answer (even you may carry close this in case you lay off the weed and focus) = first of all, get a stool examine (your canine's, not yours) carried out on the vets to be certain that it quite is roundworms, not another style of parasite; then the vet delivers the right DEWORMER on your canine - one that works, because of fact weed does not. permit me recap --- you have a fecal carried out on your canine, have the worms identifified, then get the perfect de-wormer. not complicated --- yet unquestionably needed, not something will do it for the undesirable canine and he's have been given adequate issues of you for an proprietor. Get him to the vet, not your stash.

Roundworm - The most common of internal parasites beside Tapeworms, roundworms frequently infect pets. They look suspiciously like thin spaghetti noodles and can often be found in feces with the naked eye.

You need to keep your property cleaned up after he goes to the bathroom. You need to keep him on a monthly heartworm preventative as well that also worms for other worms.
