Skoda car (one of the best-selling cars) costs 300 000 Sk and more:

Exchange rate is $ 1 = 22.66 Sk.
Don’t buy second-hand car here, they are over-prized.

Used Cars Slovakia

You never said if you wanted to buy a used or a new car. Used cars are way cheaper to be bought in the neighboring Czech Republic. Probably the biggest seller of used cars is AAA Auto (http://www.aaaauto.sk/). For the same seller in Czech just go to http://www.aaaauto.cz

If you are thinking of buying a new car I would also agree on buying Skoda. They are cheaper, I mean their lower class cars. Their luxury lines like Octavia and Superb even German VW in price here. And it's way easier and cheaper to service them than other makes.
So far this year the mostly sold car in Slovakia has been Skoda Fabia, followed by Ford Fusion and Toyota Yaris.

I know you can have one shipped cheap from the US to Slovakia cheaper than from Italy. Not sure why that is but I would look into that for sure.

I have a Ford Focus and use it with my two all the time. I think the new ones have a larger boot but it is worth taking the buggy along with you to look at cars and checking it out for size. My P&T e3 fits in OK. The 1.6TDCi Diesel falls into C category. Ford do a nearly new scheme which gives you a pretty good warranty so that is worth a look too.

Get an old Communist era car. I bet they're cheaper than 1 night of drinking!
