You don't have to say he's your boyfriend...just a guy friend..nothing wrong with that because after a while...she'll get the picture anyway...thats how I do my mom

LOL, I am a mother of an 18 year old and I hate the word boyfriend. I have yet to see a guy that is good enough for her.
I try to be friendly and let them talk and get to know them a little but generally I don't like any of them.
What can I say? They just aren't good enough for her. She deserves much better.
As for your prediciment, just get it over with and hope for the best. If your mother is like me she is only looking out for your best interest and believe it or not sometimes our families are right even when we don't want them to be.
My mother still does it to me and I am 36, get used to it and find a way to deal with it.
Honestly and directly is always a good start.
Good luck!

If you aren't grown up enough to have told your mother in the first place, then you are too young to date or have a boyfriend. One indication of maturity is not having to keep secrets from those who love you.

Start slowly and tell her about your day's experience with your boyfriend but keep mentioning him as your friend.
Look for signs, good if she looks alerted and interested and bad if she tries to not hear.
Make her understand how important he is to you and don't go harsh!
Make her feel involved in your relationship and always ask for her advice cos she then does'nt feel uninvited.
Good Luck

How about a little honesty? Just tell her the truth. She will find out eventually anyway so why not just tell her that he is your bf.

Just make sure any future discussions on the subject are not started off with the phrase...."I'm pregnant".
