Yes,if you still have a normal ycle.Even if you're going through menapause it's still possible.I would';nt reccomend it although I usually don't voice my opinion alot with the age situation but 49 is not that old and if you're healthy go for it!

I suppose you could have a child if you were willing to spend the money, time and emotions on fertility treatments, and if you were one of the very small percentage of older women to become pregnant and carry a healthy child to term, but there comes a times in life where you have to accept that you can't have everything you want. Have you thought about your ability to carry a healthy child, spend years being sleep deprived raising a little one, the energy it takes to chase after a toddler, in light of your advancing age? I'm 41 with no children, and like I said, there comes a point where you realize you can't have it all and you accept it and move on. But if this is your dream and you are determined, see a fertility specialist and see what your options are. It's a lot better to plan something if you know what you're up against. Surrogacy and adoption might be other options you could consider.

Your doctor would be a good person to start with. Ask yourself why now? Do you regret not having children sooner? Have you considered adopting? Having a baby is very hard work (I'm sure you know). Are you pre menopausal/ menopausal? Why don't you start by being a big sister? See how it feels to have a youngster around.
I know many parents who have sucessfully adopted and are very happy. Good luck!

I've heard of women having kinds clear up until they are about 65, but after age 35 your chances of an at-risk pregnancy are higher. (also increased: miscarriage, pre-term labor, complications, etc)
Check with your doctor. Make sure you're in good shape to carry a baby and birth it, also- make sure you haven't gone through (or started) menopause yet.
Good luck.. you may have to adopt. But talking with your doctor is the #1 step.
