Okay, so, I just.. wondering, I'm like 15, and no one really ever taught me how to cook, I learned how to make eggs from reading some sites and.. rice,

scratch that

Is cooking hard for most people/when do most learn? I'm like strangely curious.

It really depends. Some people have a natural knack for cooking and others really have to work at it. My opinion is if you can find someone to teach you you will learn faster and easier than on your own. No matter what learn and keep trying until you are confident.
I started cooking at 5 years old at my Mother and Grandmother knee, but that is traditional in my culture.

It was a little hard for me to learn, I had the type of mother who preferred to keep her kitchen to herself.

I would suggest getting the Fanny Farmer cookbook. That is basically how I learned to cook. The recipes are well explained and there are lots of tricks and techniques, too.

Also, do you have cable or satellite TV? There is an entire network dedicated to the teaching of food arts. It is Food Network, on DirecTV it is channel 231 (I don't know what it is on any cable network). From (9:30 am EST until way after midnight there are nothing but cooking shows. My favorites are Paula's Home Cooking and Good Eats. All of the shows will teach you loads about cooking.

Keep at it, you'll get better and better. I did.

Hey that's cool that you're interested in cooking! Girls dig guys who can cook! Enroll in a home ec. class at school or an after school cooking class. Watch the Food Network. Rachel Ray and Semi-Homemade have some quick and simple dishes. Emeril and Paula Deen are great too.

Cooking isn't very hard at all, and if you take a Foods class in school, you will learn that you are worried for nothing. The hardest part about cooking is to watch your food! :D

Start with the basics, use boxed mixes, this teaches you how to follow the basic recipe, and gives you an idea on how and what the item should look like. From there, start adding stuff to the mixes, experiment. Buy a basic cookbook, one with pictures so you can see the finished product, Betty Crocker is good and simple.

its just something that you start.. doing... it really depends on what style of cooking i guess. i personally find baking the easiest with candy making the hardest thing I've tried. cooking is a great skill though and everyone should try it even if they burn everything at first chin-chin...
