There are several types of Satanists. The most common are Anton LeVay fans. They are really atheists. They use Satan as a symbol for their philosophy and to mock the religious. But they don't worship anything and they don't believe in a literal Satan.
Theistic Satanists are pretty rare but do exist. There are a few types of them to. There are the rebel Christian ones, although I've never actually run across one of them. There are also polytheistic ones that do worship Lucifer. Lucifer is an older god that brought knowledge and light. He is often referred to as the Morning Star the same as Jesus. You can see how that ties into to Christianity when you realize that God didn't want Adam and Eve to have knowledge.

That's interesting about the Setians, I didn't know that. As far as I knew, Satanists didn't necessarily worship the deity, Satan, but instead lived by certain ideals that value the self above the spirit.
This is also represented by the inverted pentagram. Since the "bottom" points signify fire and earth, they hold their desire and the physical over the mental/emotional and spiritual (the "top" points now facing down in this symbol).

I am not a Satanist, but I have talked to some. I was interested in "why be a Satanist"
Some are just in it for the "benefits" . Most do not believe in Satan. The ones that do believe Satan exist are very scary to me. They usually call themselves Setians.
wouldn't Budhism be agnostic
There is no almighty God in Buddhism. There is no one to hand out rewards or punishments on a supposedly Judgement Day. Buddhism is strictly not a religion in the context of being a faith and worship owing allegiance to a supernatural being. {2}
The Buddha himself rejected metaphysical speculation as a matter of principle, and his teachings focused entirely on the practical ways to end suffering.
On the other hand, the Buddha did not explicitly rule out the existence of a God or gods, and very shortly after his death a devotional element formed within Buddhism. Stupas were built to contain relics of the Buddha and pilgrimmages were made to places where he had walked.

Firstly, Satanists should not be confused with devil worshipers who worship, well, satan, but the christian satan. Essentialy devil worshipers believe in the christian doctrine and have written their own anarchistic or mirror version.
Satanists are quite simply pagans and beileve in a multitude of gods which they worship to appease. They work with a form of witchcraft and alchemy and treasure life over everything. They are a great deal more pragmatic and practical with their religion than others as their commandments (guidelines) would suggest. One of their first ones is a variation of 'the golden rule', 'do unto others as they do unto you', instead of 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. Satanists have been around for centuries, the name comes from the worship of the egyptian pagan god Set - setanism, and evolved as the gods and people moved.
Some bhuddists are indeed atheists. While Bhudists do not strictly believe in a god, they do have a great deal of belief in the soul and cultivating their being to reach perfection or a state of nirvana.
Hope that helped.

They do not consider it so, they actually do not believe in Satan himself or God, it is a rejection of any moral absolutes in actuality.
They actually are bothered by most everybody.
What Satanism represents is opposite to what Christianity represents- or at least does not run in conjuction with beliefs within Christianity. While Christianity promotes restraint when it comes to carnal indulgences, Satanism promotes carnal gratification.
This does not mean that a Satanist directly opposes the Ten Commandments, that he or she believes "Thou shalt kill" rather than "Thou shalt NOT kill," etc. Satanism was not "created" to oppose Christianity. Rather, Satanism is, in a way, an "unreligion" and those who follow that path do not subscribe to the notion of an all-encompassing deity who is worthy of worship.

I think Satanists make a joke out of worshiping Satan, but really it's mostly an excuse to jerk the chains of the Christians, and to have orgies.

Uh, no. Satanists worship Satan and his minions. They believe in Satan, so in their belief - he exists for them.
If you do not believe in Satan, you believe that they worship nothing, but this does not impact their faith.
Buddists do regard "nothing" as something, as it were - but they worship, so they are Buddists, not Atheists.
Aetheists do not worship nothing - because they do not worship.
Pagans worship other dieties - some are monotheists and others are multitheists since the term "Pagan" is used for a whole host of non-Judao-Christian religions.
Pagans do not worship Satan, because Satan is part of the Judao-Christian religion and he does not exist for people who are not believers in that religion.
All Satan worshipers must, in fact, also belief in God and, usually, Christ. Not all Christians believe in Satan.
I believe I will have some Turkey now.

They worship what Satan Represents
Here are the Nine Satanic Statements
1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!
2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams!
3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit!
4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates!
5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!
6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires!
7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!
8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!
9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years!
This is of the official Church of Satan.

ALLAH (THE GOD) says who do not belive and worship me is the worshipper of sahatan. However many times HE revealed in HIS book that peoples are actually slaves of their habbits/ needs/ selfishness/ races ets which sahatan has made beutiful in their eyes. So people actually worship nothing but run behind their animal drives. Same will be said by Sahatn on the day of judgement(dooms day) before ALLAH that O people you never worshiped me rather you left the right path on you own on my lies so go to hell where I will go and do not curse me because I am not risponsible for that.
