Even wate r is paid for now-a-days .But air is never cared for and simply polluted , despiute the fact that it is vital for our life and all the gods who descended on the earth.

So VAYU BHAGAVAN worshipped by teh Hindus was more powerful and was really the God of all Gods.
Agni , vayu , varuna , Indira etc are worshipped in the Rig Veda .
