I have a VW polo. A few weeks ago the starter motor had to be replaced and since then (I don't think it was doing it before but I can't be sure) whenever I use the car and the engine has stopped there is a clicking/ticking sound coming from the front of the car. Has anyone got any idea what this could be? or what could cause it? is it anything to worry about?

Metal expands and contracts so the exhaust systems clicks until the car cools down. Normal cooling noise don't worry.

all cars do this, when the car gets hot the metal expands and then when it cools it contracts this is when the car ticks, it is normal, my 2001 tahoe does this all the time.
