I'm staying in a small town which is quite a populated. In this town we almost had all the governtment agencies such as Schools, Local Authority, Enforcement Auhority and several others. Recently several of my friends and I discussed about setting up a website to promote our community so that people will have more info about what's going on in our town, plus getting to know better their immediate neighbours.

We are not sure where so start it. Which authority to approach since it might involved the legal aspects of it.

For your info we are doing it out of awareness, and not a business oriented.

Your are definitely going to need some income coming in to get your website up and running, a lot of little towns have them so everyone can see whats going on there so that is a great idea, advertising will help on your website to generate some cash flow but it maynot be enough, I would discreetly contact my state representitive or assemblyman and talk to him about your idea. It takes some contacts and letting people know who you are and what you want to do to get everything going, Good luck!!
