I am worried I was diagagnosed with autisum as a baby, I am now 15 and I am shy about getting a girl friend.
I find it hard to get into relationships.
Will I ever have the guts to create a relationship without being shy

I have something far worse than autism(sorry to be explicit), I'm shy but I don't worry about my condition ( well they call it a disease but I prefer the word condition).
When u ask a girl out and if she says no to u forget about her, if she can't see past ur autism she's not worth the hassle.
You are who u are, there's no reason to be shy about it, there are plenty of teens out there with more horrible diagnosis but they don't worry about making relationships!
I'm sure u will find someone special, who u will feel comfortable to ask out. The shyness will go eventually.
Good Luck, all the best

Autistic people lack basic people skills, its no biggy really, I am 17 and I have no girlfriend and guess what? I am perfectly normal (body-wise, mentally I tend to skip ahead of my peers and due to this social problems abound), just don't worry about it friend, the time will come, girls at your age tend to be very immature and I know autistic people tend to be anything but simple, your smart, mature and looking for a girlfriend?well let me put it this way: Mature girls=20-21 years, you have way to go yet but don't worry, there's someone out there for you, it just takes time.

do you feel autistic? they tried to diagnose me with all sorts of things when i was younger. yea sure i have some ADD and OCD tendency, and i may even be a little bit aspergers syndrome.

ive grown up just fine, it is harder for me to form relationships but im getting much better at it recently.

dont let autism get you down, you have many gifts most people dont, use them. but you also have to learn to live in "normal" society, i know its hard but if you stick to it, it will get easier

my brother is autistic. but probly not like yours. he has a more kinda severe form that is not savant and he doesnt like hugs or anything but he is an amazing guy. do you have aspergers? i think if you know how to cope with it and if you find a girl that you like just overcome your fears and become friends with her. and dont tell her about your autism until you are comfortable. dont fret babe. just be yourself and youll develop friendships easier. i know how aspergers works. and if that is what you have you have social issues im guessing. hmm. i know this is kinda girly, but America's Next Top Model has a girl (heather) on there right now who has aspergers and she deals with it and the other girls the whole season. if you go to www.cwtv.com the show is on there under Video. you can watch how she copes with social situations.

hakuna matata! youll be fine!

We all have some sort of burden to bear. Just try your best, be kind and considerate, and the right person will come along, if you open up to them.
