Does anyone know how to get the ringer back on my handheld cordless phone. I can't find my instruction manuel, and my 2 year old SOMEHOW turned it off. It is a Uniden and the model # is EXAI4248i.

Selecting the Ring Tone and Volume
Your phone has five different ringer tone/volume combinations you can choose from.
1) With the phone in standby mode, press the /vol/ or /vol/ key.
2) The phone will sound the different ring tones at different volumes. To turn the ringer off,
select R i n g e r O f f .
3) When the phone sounds the ring tone and volume you wish to use, press the end key. i hope this getts me a best answer; lol. heres the link to the manuel too.

Try cleaning the metal contacts on the phone and base unit that touch together when you place the phone on the base unit. These contacts connect the base unit power supply to the battery in the phone. Spray contact cleaner works best (available at Radio Shack/Circuit City and other stores) but you could try varsol or rubbing alcohol. Also make sure these contacts are working properly (they sometimes are spring loaded and if the springs stick then the metal does not make contact).

Should have function in Loudness button on voice and ringer? there are usaully four tones available?
