She's 8. I have a very hard time getting her to bed on Christmas Eve. Good all year long, but that night she drags it on anywhere between 10pm and midnight. Yet somehow her little internal clock wakes her up with the first glimpse of the sun, around 6:00am.

We have a tradition in our house that once she gets in bed on Christmas eve, she can't get out until Santa's come. She'll know when he's arrived when she sees a candy cane inside the little snowman doorhanger that we place on her bedroom door. If it's not there, she has to get back in bed. That helps keep her in bed until a semi-decent hour. :) Last year i got lucky, and it was 7am when she came to me with the candy cane, wanting me to wake up.

Last year ours woke at about 4 am. It was an all-time record for our family. They are 10 & 6. That's the one day of the year that I can count on an afternoon nap from them!

I'm 15 and I get up at 5am on Christmas then I wake up my big bro (aged 18) and then my big sis (aged 16) we then wake up our parents! If I didn't wake up so early they'd all still be in bed at 11am!! It's one of the many reasons they love me! LOL!!!! (they don't get mad at me cause it's CHRISTMAS!!). The earliest I've woken at was 1am! (I only woke uo mum and then went to lie down in her and dad's bed but I didn't get back to sleep! but we didn't open the prezzies till 6am!)
