No. It has cathechins that lowers cholesterol level by 80% when taken orally and half of its percentage when mixed with coffee or with other herbs. The cathechins in green tree also helps allevate or prevent esophageal cancer as an alternative medication.

I believe it doesn't...it's hardly possible for those few leaves you put in your tea-pot to have anything except those essences people claim to be good for your health ...
