If so then why would the one who judges you send you to the enemy to be punished? I sense an alliance. ( Please take this question lightheartedly it was asked with no offence intended.)

I love the answers given above. There is such a diverse load of crap. It seems pretty obvious that most people do not even read the Bible.
Scripture says there is a heaven. Scripture says there is a hell. Heaven is where God is. Hell is where God is not. Satan does not go to hell - why would he want to go there? Satan walks to and fro over the earth and has pretty much free reign to do whatever he wants with you (Read the Book of Job!)
Taking this a step further, when you die you do not go anywhere. You are dead. Scripture says - "you are asleep." You will be raised on the last day (with EVERYONE) to come before the Judgement Seat of Christ and then, you could go to heaven or hell. To be in the loving presence of God forever or be NOT in His presence - forever. Satan will not go to hell - he will be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone. Again, not hell. This a very special place just for him. When you go to hell you will not be punished by satan - you are being punished by God for your unbelief and you cannot change your mind. Want to take a chance?

No hell is not ruled by Satan. His dominion is here on this earth. There will come a day when Satan will be cast into the eternal lake of fire, however he will not be the ruler of it.
God is the ruler of all creation, including hell. Satan must submit to the authority of God which is why the believer who has asked Jesus into their heart can take authority over Satan.
Satan knows that his days are numbered, and is roaming this earth seeking every lost soul he can find with the intention of them joining him for that eternal damnation.
There is no alliance between Satan and God. Satan lost the battle when Jesus died on the cross went into hell itself, which could not hold Him captive, and stole the keys of death and Hades right out of Satan's hands.

Hell will not be ruled by the devil.
Hell is the exact opposite of Heaven. In Heaven there will be no sickness or crying. In Hell eternal suffering and crying are without end or relief. All occupants of Heaven enjoy eternal bliss and joy, but in Hell every occupant will be unhappy and discontented. No sin will enter Heaven, but in Hell sin abounds and the evil ideas of mankind will have nothing to hinder their fulfillment, except the suffering of the person having the thoughts. Memory will also plague the occupants of Hell. The rich man in Hades, "But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented." It may be that someone listening to this lesson has had opportunities to accept Christ. You will remember every one of those opportunities in Hell and gnash your teeth about rejecting the Savior. Someone in Hell will hear "Just as I Am" over and over in their mind, realizing that had they come to the Savior just as they were, He would have saved them from this punishment, but now it is too late!

There are a so many angels having their own specific duties like the one that watch over yur good n bad deeds, the one that'll take away yur soul, the one that gives u wealth...
And there will be ones that took charge of hell...
Satan is the eternal fuel that will burn hell..

Yes.

He would send the person to hell because the person acted like satan so even though he is sending the person to his enemy his letting the person rottt away like the enemy so be put on the side the person deserves to be on.

remember that Satan or Lucifer was once an angel, the Light-bearer who was doomed and thrown out from heaven after he rebelled against God....he was sent to eternal damnation...
so, those people that is thrown to hell are doomed or punished...God gave us the freewill to do whatever we want...
so if we prefer to forsake God, then you know what's next..

I'm explain this in general. Want it specific, read the Bible.

Basically, 2/3 of the angels opposed God in Heaven and of course, God won. He casted Lucifer and his followers to earth. Our love and willingness to do good is being tested by God by letting Satan tempt us.

I hoped this helped. =D And if I offended someone or said something wrong, I'm sorry.

My version of hell would be the Christian's version of heaven: Eternal worship to a mass murderer, surrounded by people like Jerry Falwell or other nutty and intolerant people, would be quite horrible to me.

I'd much rather be where the smart, daring, interesting people are, who didn't just lap up the belief system they were raised in. Imagine talking to someone like Oscar Wilde (a brilliant author and homosexual in Victorian times) or Hypatia (a pagan astronomer and mathematician killed by a christian mob). My version of Satan is an idealistic rebel with the hairstyle of Hugh Grant and a red spandex outfit, lol. I'm not exactly a believer, but it is sometimes fun to think about these things for their comic value.

Hey man, does this read like satan is ruling over hell?

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
