Hi

Your on oral morphine liquid (oramorph) AND Morphine Sulphate tablets AND solpadol??!!

Thats a dangerous combination and just shows how useless your Doctor is!

Opiates are rarely needed to control back pain - and NEVER used if it is chronic or you will have serious addiction problems.

Physiotherapy can help a great deal, but discectomies are a very risky operation.

May I suggest Naproxen and Amitryptyline for the pain.

Go back to your doctor and get this medication sorted out.

You have to ensure the following.
1.UR not overweight.
2.Your tummy is not bulging.
3.U r doing the exercises meant to strengthen ur back & tummy muscles as well as ligaments of the back. Ask the Physiotherapist of the hospital where u had the operations, 2 guide u about it.
4. Take the precautions about ur sitting posture, lifting things from the ground, correct surfaces 2 sit & sleep. Again ur Physiotherapist should have guided u about these.
5. Walk regularly but DO NOT JOG.

Oh sheesh! That really sucks! I've known a few people who've gone through surgery and it can be a risky business. If you can do it take Naproxin. I guess that stuff works good (I am deathly allergic to it). If you can do it get off or cut back on the opioids. They can really make your pain worse! Or at least find a pain management doctor who really knows his/her stuff. Good luck. I really hope you can find some relief.

I can't help you. Listen to the Doctor on here. Then go back to your own doctor and ask to see someone else instead of the usual doctor for a second opinion.
