...if you told somebody that they were going to Hell and then said, "Read it and weep, sweetie?"

If you had no remorse and felt you were in the right, would you find all the other Christians' answers to the contrary to be unsettling?

I would appreciate answers with scripture from the book of Isaiah.

Thank you.

As a Christian I would not make such a judgment call. God alone knows such things. I have never made such an assumption. We are called to be lights to the world not snuffers of such light.
Peace Be With You,

Would I feel bad...? No

"If you had no remorse and felt you were in the right, would you find all the other Christians' answers to the contrary to be unsettling?" No

"I would appreciate answers with scripture from the book of Isaiah." Sorry I don't understand what question of the two you want an answer from Isaiah.

A common misconception is that Christianity doesn't all revolve around the Bible. We have a pope who continues to make doctrines and such that are true today for the faith. And according to the Pope and Vatican, we as Christians can not say people will go to hell, simply because we're not the one's to decide. We believe in Purgatory, which, if you get into will (according to the teachings of the Pope) guarantee being "saved".

See the here and now, people, not two thousand years ago.

ok , I am a christian, and i believe true christians shouldnt , and dont have the right to judge and say whether they think someone is going to hell or not. As i have always been of the understanding that God is the only judge.
I am sick to death of fundamentalist extreme religions , who think they know everything and believe they are the only ones who are worthy of gods love, because in their eyes others dont live there lives according to what "THEY THINK" is how we should live , an extremist life like they do.
Unfortunately in a lot of cases, extremeists will go to any lengths to prove what they believe is gods word.
To me being a christian is about appreciating everyone elses beliefs and excepting that everyones lifestyles are different and that should be celebrated not intimidated., even if they are,nt similiar.
Whether your christian ,buddhist, islamic, gay , black, jewish, Athiest ,whatever, believeing about god is about love for all, and not thinking your an elitist because you believe you understand gods word or the meaning of life more than anyone else.
Having a faith should never cause harm or hurt to anyone ,it shouldnt cause wars ,it should never promote propoganda or hate, and any person who claims to be a christian and agrees in these certain measures , an in being a fundamentalist to me would seem like they are aiming more towards satan than god.

For me i have a great love for god , i dont go to church, dont like the hypocrisy. I believe i can pray in my toilet if i want and i know i will still be heard and loved.
Im not perfect none of us are, but i think if you lead a good life ,learn from as many mistakes as you can , treat others with compassion and how you wish to be treated, and have a true respect for the world we live in and the people that inhabit it , then i think your doing pretty well as a human being.

Isaiah is really not the best book to get evidence from in this case. It is an Old Testament prophecy to different societies, and while it still has applications to us today, its really not as good as the Gospels or Romans to answer questions about salvation.

I don't tell people where they're going...even if they ask! Why? Because I don't know for a fact how God is going to judge people.

And what would Isaiah, a prophet, have to do with all this?

What is this obsession with the book of Isaiah you seem to have? It's too late for me to try to figure it out on my own.
