in the words of saint Kabir - dhai akshar prem ke pareh toh pandit hoi. Universal love in the heart of the person will lead to maksha. So we have to transcend all 3 gunas.

Only if the three Gunas are brought into a state of balance can they be transcended.

In order for this to take place one must master the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. If these are not understood and mastered any of the five will try to destroy the other four.

Divine Analytic Wisdom (Pahuth-Arivu) is necessary to proceed within this process. It will cut away the illusions of the world of the elements and explain the Truth of God to man.

This will lead to what you call Moksha!

As sri.Chandrasekar.K. has mentioned about "Guna Trayaathetham" --Guna(m)+Trayam+ Atheetham = transcending (Rising above) all the three Attibutes(Gunam--Rajas -Tamas-& Satvam)
The same concept is mentioned in Taittriya Upanishad also-"Guna Trayaatheethaha-Kaala tryaatheethaha"--Rising above(Transcending) Attributes(Gunam) and Kaalam(Time) are said to be "Moksha Saadhanam"=means to attain Moksham(Salvation) - in Texts.
As for as "winning" is concerned, "winning the the Pancha Gjnaana Indriyams(Jithendriyam) is talked about in the Texts.By winning over the Indriyams especially the taste (as mentioned explicitely and implicitely about Shat Raso Bhedham=the permutation and combination of 6 Rasaas- by Bhagavan sri Krishna in sri.Bhagavad Geetha in Guna-Traya Vibhaaga Yogam)-the Rasa(m)s - Madhura(sweet)Amla(sour)-Lavana(salt)-Katu(Punchent) -Tiktha(astringent),Kashaayam(bitter) are responsible for Triguna(m).s and one should "win' over the "Indulgence" of Rasas, leading to the control of TriGuna(m)s.
P.S:-Katu=Pungent is missing in the main post.

I don't know what you mean by "win" the 3 gunas, but it is definitely recommended that we transcend them. The Bhagavad Gita, in Chapter 14, says:

"The Blessed Lord said: He who does not hate illumination, attachment and delusion when they are present, nor longs for them when they disappear; who is seated like one unconcerned, being situated beyond these material reactions of the modes of nature, who remains firm, knowing that the modes alone are active; who regards alike pleasure and pain, and looks on a clod, a stone and a piece of gold with an equal eye; who is wise and holds praise and blame to be the same; who is unchanged in honor and dishonor, who treats friend and foe alike, who has abandoned all fruitive undertakings--such a man is said to have transcended the modes of nature."

One who can transcend the material modes is already liberated.

Why You have put your nick name as "Aum" and if so than why asking so foolish question. As Moksha is not so simple as everyone may get without any efforts!

Hinduism is not a religion. It is a culture, custom, tradition, rite and ritual. It had divided humanity in 4 categories (varnas) and thousands of castes therein. (Ref. Holy Bhagavad Gita: Chapter-18 Verses:40-47) Not included in these 4 are the Untouchables, worst and dirtiest than animals. A Hindu always belongs to his own caste. Castes are absolutely unchangeable. A Hindu attains perfection (Moksha) by attending the job of his caste, he born in by nature. If he adopts any other job, he is a very big sinner. Only Brahmins are licensed to read, study & educate themselves, recite the sacred words and verses, attend temples, be priests, etc. If any Shudra (4th category-Varna) listens the Vedas and sacred verses then boiling lead is to be poured into his ears, if looks at them then red hot rods to be inserted into his eyes, if recites them then his tongue is to be cut, as taught and guided by Upanishadas and Manusmritis, the holiest & commonly practised books of Hinduism. The worship and prayer of a Hindu is only the job of his caste, he is born in by nature.

Hinduism is not a religion. It is a culture, custom, tradition, way of Hindus' lives in Hindustan (India). It is claimed and insisted as such by all the well known Hindu priests, scholars, intellectuals, philosophers, books, scripts, the Ruling Party BJP & Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal, the Indian and International strongest Hindu organizations RSS & VHP, each and every Hindu, etc.

Hinduism is a very old culture, tradition, custom and way of lives of Hindus in Hindustan (India) for centuries. The Idols and idol worshipping cannot be separated from Hinduism. There are over 330 or 360 millions of Gods and Goddesses in India & millions of temples / shrines with their idols therein. Hundreds of millions of Hindus pray and worship these idols in those temples and shrines.

All, each and every Hindu fights for the IDOL of Lord Rama to be placed in the temple in Ayodhya, to be worshipped & prayed by Hindus. Some modern educated, westernized and over innocent Hindus claim that idol worship is not Hinduism. They are ashamed to face others unnecessarily . They should be proud of their tradition, custom, belief / faith.

The word ‘Hindu’ was given by Persians to people living beyond Sindhu river. It was nowhere mentioned in any holy script. A Hindu is born to Hindu parents in Hindustan (India). No Hindu can be without a caste. Castes cannot be changed by any means; they are by birth. The Constitution of India and the Hindu Code (4 separate Acts) included everybody into Hinduism except Jews, Christians, Muslims & Parsis.

Hinduism consists of four Varnas (categories) and thousands of castes therein with innumerable Gods & Goddesses for each such caste. Hindus castes are not equal. Hindus' worship & prayer is the job of their caste, they are born in by nature. Those not included in any of the said four Varnas (categories) are untouchables ie worst and dirtiest than dirtiest animals. These Varnas (4 categories) are taught in Holy Bhagavad Geeta, Verses 40-47, Chapter-18, and are not manmade to be eradicated or ignored.

A Hindu may embrace and convert to any religion and remain Hindu by nativity. Hindus have no DOs and DONTs; they are liberal and broad minded. There are no requisites or conditions to remain a Hindu. A Hindu born to Hindu parents in Hindustan (India) will always be a Hindu even if he denies & rejects Hinduism; believes & prays (or not) to a different God every time, etc. The only way to renounce Hinduism is to embraces a religion & to convert as a Jew, Christian, Muslim or Parsi, as per all Indian laws.
