Because they know that they do not know everything.
Unlike atheists (who know everything - how else can they say there is no God?) and evolutionists (who believe that they have to ability to find out everything).
Those who finally go to heaven know that science and philosophy can only take you so far and no more. Beyond that, they need inspiration, which depends on faith. I assume that is what you mean by 'ignorant'.

Of course they do. If they didn't, all of the faithful would wind up in hell, and it'd be the Atheists that were able to enjoy eternity in Heaven.
