is it you? if so, no shame there. just look at your dd-214. towards the bottom with give you a re-enlistment code. if it says you can re-enlist you have to wait for however long it says then you have to be cleard by a MILITARY doctor. then you can get back in. my brother is a recruiter. my time in the Army is up, however, if i want to re-enlist i can anytime. my friend got out on a mood disorder. he has to wait 2 yrs. hope this helps. good luck! in 99% of the cases, no, they would receive an RE4 code which pretty much bars them permanently from ever enlisting. mental disorders are not something that the military wants to take a chance will ever come back, due to the unique stressors of the military environment, people who can function perfectly well in the civilian world may not be able to in the military.

The person should contact the military organization they belonged to and ask them. I'm sure it depends on all of the factors and circumstances of their case. Good luck.

If it was an AdminSep, It might be tough - but it's worth a shot. If it was anything else, that's pretty much a NO.
