More and more people begin to learn Chinese, because here is clear career potential for the future. Childhood, I think, is the best period to start to learn Chinese or other language, so begin learning Chinese as early as you can. I suggest you take courses in language training school, because it can help you learn easier and faster. Check this site http://www.learnchinese.bj.cn It may help you. Good luck!

If you have Spanish and English you are doing great, keep practicing those b/c 'speaking' them and being able to read, write and speak at a business level are two different things. After that, it does kinda depend on where you want to do business - consider Chinese and Arabic. Chinese b/c it is a huge developing market and Arabic because it is a huge financial market. Both very hard languages, and will take great effort.
Remember WIlly Sutton : why do you rob banks? Because that is where the money is.
Learn the language that will take you to where the money is.

Economics is useful if you live in an anglo-saxon country, it gives you a wide range of entry-jobs. If you live in Europe you will need a Masters to get a job, or double-major with Accounting or Finance. In Europe a language major is very useful as long as it is a European language. In International Business you learn a little bit about everything and in an international context. This only works to your advantage if you have a specialized and practical skill to balance it. Doing two minors is not as useful as doing a good 2nd major. Most employers see language skills only as an "extra" ability so you should prioritize your technical skills first and foremost. Foreign language works best as a co-major to a practical major such as Accounting and Logistics. These are the best combinations: Major: Economics ------- Co-Major: Accounting, Finance or Statistics Major: International Business ----- Co-Major: Accounting, Finance, Logistics, Marketing These combos are not as good but they could still work out: Major: Economics --- Minors 1 & 2: Accounting, Finance, Spanish Major: International Business --- Minors1 & 2: Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Logistics, Spanish

I took sign language as a foreign language! It is a universally known language. Individual signs mean the same thing in any language that knows sign language. the sign for mother in English is the same one used for sign language in French for mother. you speak the same language if you both know sign language--it is incredibly fast and fun to learn. Improve your public speaking skills, it teaches you how to use hand gestures and body language as well as sign language. Improve your Spanish skills and also learn sign language for the situation when you do not speak a language but that other person just happens to know sign language and you can close the deal without having to find an interpreter! Think about that! Worked for me!

Other than sign language, only thing more universal as a language is Klingon.

French or Japanese
French is very commonly spoken in many parts of the world. It would be good for places like Europe and Canada.
Japanese is a good choice because Japan is becoming such a powerful country, that they will be very influential in the future.

I agree with the other answerer, depending on what area(s) of the world you are interested in. Keep working on your English too, you will be in great demand with native (I assume) Spanish and flawless English.
