such should be the case, however not all do define their words as you do. Is it not best to ask one individual this question after the two of you have agreed upon all the terms used? I say this because it seems to me too many want to group individuals together that either are not together or do such to seek out faults for the sake of seeking out faults.
Why not seek understanding and agreement in the truth, the pure truth rather than seeking faults in others or in their ideas and concepts?
Do have a good day as you do consider this concept stated -

Early Christian religions believed the Jesus was adopted by God because Mary was 12 yrs old when Joseph married her. So many Christians know nothing about the history of their religion. That should be a sin..

Did the angel Gabriel tell Mary that she would give birth to God? No. At Luke 1:35, he told Mary: "“Holy spirit will come upon you, and power of the Most High will overshadow you. For that reason also what is born will be called holy, God’s Son."
So, is Mary the mother of God? No. She was the human mother of the Son of God.

Unless you've developed a belief system that posits Mary and Jesus are exclusive stories or that one exists without the other.
Not believing in one character kind of makes the other void.

it really amazes when so called christians deny that mary is the mother of god. jesus gave us the holy roman catholic and apostolic church, christianity and the bible would not even exist today without the catholic church.
if you deny that the blessed mother is not the mother of god you are denying the truth about the jesus christ of the bible.
there are so many ways to go about this but for those interested here are some sites to help explain this, it would take forever to type it up covering the different aspects,
before i provide the links may i just add, if we know what the first christians believed from the earliest writing records we will know what the early christian church believed and taught pertaining to the blessed mother, we will know because the apostles taught the early chirstians. it just so happens we have records of what the early christian churhc taught, even as far back as the first century, read and you may notice how catholic these teachings are, free from distortion from the dark ages, middle ages and even constatine, consistent for 2000 years.

if you claim you love the lord jesus christ and the bible you owe it to jesus christ and to yourself to learn his truth, use the church he established, the bible his church gave us and the sites to find this truth. if you don't you are fooling yourself and fooling him no matter how well intentioned you are and no matter how much you think you love him, you don't if you do not seek his truth. i know this won't be popular but jesus knew himself and warned those that love him that persecution, mockery etc is all part of the package of loving him, it is out of love i offer this answer and i pray some of you will atleast consider and pursue this, as for the person whom asked, may god bless you and may this question, other questions and your answers be fruitfull.

They deny that she's the mother of the part of Jesus that is God, but they accept that she's the mother of Jesus. Two different things. How can God have a mother if he's eternal?

If one does not believe that Jesus was a deity, then Mary was not the mother of a deity - unless, of course, you mean some OTHER god.
