At our thanksgiving eve service tonight, one of our pastors was talking about being thankful IN all circumstances, not FOR all circumstances. I am one tonight that can say that I am thankful for God's grace, faithfulness, strength and for the body of Christ that is holding me up during a very difficult time. Hope all of you can be thankful today, tomorrow and forever. Happy Thanksgiving!

I try very hard to be thankful in any and all circumstances, but sometimes it can be very hard. Our youngest daughter was pregnant and her son was diagnosed with a terminal lung disease in the womb, that was a very rare disease, and he was not expected to survive, because not a single one with this disease had. We prayed and thanked the Lord that we knew He was in charge and that His will be done. He is five now and is a true miracle and doctors are still baffled. Isn't God great.

AdoreHim, thank you for asking this question; it reminds me to be thankful IN all circumstances, and for all the things you mentioned. God is so awesome and wonderful.

I will pray that God will give you extra strength and grace as you go through your difficult time.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

I think the only person I've heard who said that was the Apostle Paul. It takes a long time to learn how to be content and thankful in the hard times, and Paul had more practice at hard times than most people have in this country.

The Lord has dealt with me lately about complaining. It will hold me back and our church back if it continues. I have surrendered this sin to Him, and I truly am seeing Him change me! I want to get to the point where I am praising and thanking the Lord at ALL times and in ALL situations.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

in the event that they are Christian then they do precis: (all of us have a burden previously God) Col 3:18 ¶ better halves, submit yourselves unto your guy or woman husbands, as that's slot interior the Lord. Col 3:19 Husbands, love [your] better halves, and be no longer bitter against them. Col 3:20 toddlers, obey [your] mum and dad in all issues: for it is unquestionably proper unto the Lord. Col 3:21 Fathers, provoke no longer your toddlers [to anger], lest they be discouraged.

36 years ago this weekend I arrived safely, for R&R from the Vietnam War, in Singapore.

I was very grateful to be alive that weekend and ever since Thanksgiving has meant more to me than it ever had before.

When I got home from the war, my brother had been married, so I rarely saw him, two of my grandparents had died, so our family was changed forever.

However so was my relationship with God!

Nothing makes one more thankful than surviving a war.

I really don't think that being thankful all the time and under all circumstances is even remotely humanly possible.

Happy Thanksgiving!

through our weakness, His strength is made perfect. i've learned to praise God not only for the prosperous times, but also the disasterous, because God is the refiner. no matter what you're going through, if you love the Lord then He is giving you something good no matter what. learn to praise before the storm, and you'll certainly praise during it.

Every time I open my mouth to complain I am reminded that I would not have the ability to complain if I wasn't still breathing... often enough it shuts me up.
