I'd completely understand why he never showed any romantic feeling for you. This is very common. He can't help his sexual preference. If he's fun to hang out with out you can still be great friends. Just keeep it real, you can't change him on this either..

i wouldnt be too put out by it..
i would feel relieved that the reason he doesnt return the feelings is because he's gay...

that happened to me, but it didnt phase me. i supported him and we are still friends to this day. it's been about 5 years.
