Muslims move to non muslim(islamic)countries because;
1)they seek a better economic life
2)they search a better education
3)they want to spread out Islam without force to other country
4)they are bore in their own country and they want the different situation in other country
5)they want to find a new experience in other country
6)they want a more free life in other country
7)they regard all countries on this earth belongs to Allah the only one God which can be lived freely as long as they obey to the laws and regulations of the related country.
8)they believe the God's instruction in Qur'an that after praying muslims should spread out for searching livelihood
9)they want to add new friendship communication with other people in other country.
10)they want to be an agent of import and export of their own country.

Agreed with most of the above - they want the benefits but refuse to adapt to the way of life of their chosen country.
Why do these countries absorb them while knowing that they are a major problem.
Those doctors who failed to blow up Glasgow Airport ... DOCTORS!!! Come on, people! Wake up to the invasion of your country, your safety, your freedom and the way of life your parents and grand-parents fought to protect. You are being attacked from within. Be VERY concerned.

Incidentally, having just read the answer which stated that MOST muslims move to Dubai ..... Most foreign workers, whether Pakistani, Afghan, Egyptian, Syrian, etc are there to find better wages in an Islamic country that is rich. They are there simply to take advantage of better opportunities and still remain in the claws of Islam. That said, how many find their way into France, Holland, England, Canada, USA, Denmark and so on and on - countries where, again, they can take advantage of better conditions than they found in their own country - AND STILL COMPLAIN!!! AND STILL BLOW UP SUBWAY TRAINS!!!!
The Muslim Council of Britain is pushing the UK Government very hard to introduce a ban on alcohol drinking in public places, to set a more conservative dress code and other elements of Sharia laws while, at the same time, covertly poisoning the minds of young muslims to become terrorists.

I do not think it is Haram but I am not sure. It was only a few years when The Bahamas was 100% christian so I am very glad that muslims moved to my country if not I would not have recieved the knowledge needed to become a true believer muslimah.

They are not promoting Sharia law to the non Muslim. They are using amongst themselves. Living in the non-Islamic country, the country never bother of the Islamic law, so the Muslim must get stand by themselves.

They move because of better economic improvements (e.g. better jobs, better salaries) and because of persecution in their countries.

These are two main reasons, now there is other reasons like to propagate the message of Islam and so on.

A lot of Muslim immigrants comes to the west looking for freedom and wealth. Mostly they are not strict Muslims and they might practice forbidden things (e.g. sexual relationships and alcohol drinking).

When they settle down, marry and have children. they start thinking of what going to happen to their children (especially females) in such "morally corrupted" society.

Some of them become religious and start taking children to Islamic schools so they "got religion" which could prevent them from being corrupted.

A lot of parents (mostly fathers) become more religious and fanatic, and they feel regret for their early ungodly life which lead them to a narrower view of religion.

In general when they ask for Shariah in western countries, they are trying to protect their offspring from the "corruption".

PS - Fulcrum - Over 8 million Muslims live in North America alone. THOSE are the ones being refered to in the question.

Greed mostly. Ulama(Muslim Scholars) forbid Muslims from moving to non Muslim countries, but they do it anyways.
