I mean insofar as what a background check will turn up. I took the ASVAB when I graduated high school and scored high enough to do any job. I decided to go to college instead so I imagine I'll still be able to put up the requisite 115 GT score on the ASVAB.

Inability to obtain the proper security clearance.... indebtedness, known ties to certain foreign national groups, belonging to subversive groups, criminal record, alcoholism, etc.

oh by the way basically just pass your background and score high on the ASVAB that is what I plan to be doing as well so good luck

Your GT score, if you don't score high enough on the ASVAB test that could limit the no. of jobs you can choose from. I think you'd have to have a pretty good ASVAB score to get into intel.

Smoker's right. A big part of it is how much debt you have (the government doesn't want you to be susceptible to bribes). Good luck.

anything that would prevent you from getting a Clearance, to include financial issues, legal issues, lying about anything on your paperwork(even simple stuff like I smoked one joint ten years ago and never did again) and even background checks on family members.

marines don't have to be bright you know, most marines just know how to shoot a gun and kill innocent people. the prequisit is that you just have to enjoy doing it.
