I haven't been making fun of the religiously impaired in awhile, do people still ask "why there are still monkeys?"

The smart ones have accepted it long time ago, but some still resist the obvious.

Evolution as a concept is accepted by everyone (just think of dogs, cars, computer games and languages). I assume you refer to the single origin and gradual evolution of species.

It is a meritable theory, that, if true, would explain many things, but also leave many problems, notably those raised by the originator of the theory, Charles Darwin. (Say, why don't you actually read his book "The origin of species"?). At any rate, humans according to evolution, did not evolve from "monkeys", but rather both are said to have evolved from a common anccestor. There are some difficulties with that, but that's another discussion.

It is a theory. Simple. Whoever insist that all the dissidents should "accept it as fact" and ridicule others, and protect it at all costs from being questioned, have a political agenda, not a scientific one. Those are the real unevolved monkeys.

No. Humans are humans. Always have and will always be.

If ever we were monkeys, monkeys should have extinct long time ago. The only thing that change about human evolutions is that human life is getting shorter, and human saiz is getting smaller. Smarter perhaps, but then again, maybe we are getting too smart for our own good.

It's not -fact-, it's -theory-. Theory is a framework that ties observed 'facts' together. It's about understanding. The theory of evolution fits more of the observations than any competing theory.

Creationism isn't about observable fact, it's about religious doctrine. It's not about understanding, it's about believing. In fact you can believe it without really -understanding- it. In fact that's the only way to believe it!

Evolutionists and Creationists are not arguing about the facts, they are arguing about the ways of knowing.

Survival of the Fittest-Yes
Microevolution-Yes
Macroevolution-No

And the whole "Monkey" thing has become more of a game lately, to be honest.

Nope. None so blind as those who will not see and all that. We still get the "monkies" question by drive-by fundies, although it's more often posted as an in-joke than as a genuine question, I suppose.

I don't know why people should accept a THEORY as fact.
