maybe she's not sure if her and a guy she is dating are exclusive
or
maybe she will break up with her bf for you if you ask her on a date
idk, that's what I think, I would just ask her though.... like what do you mean "kinda"... the only answer to that question (do you have a bf) can either be yes or no

"Kinda" could mean that she just has a crush on some guy and he doesn't even know about it. Sounds to me like she wants you to think she has a boyfriend when she really doesn't.

when i tell a guy that it means..... i'm a little unsure about the "boyfriend" i have@the moment and i'm intrested in the guy i just told "i kinda have a boyfriend". just keeping the door open...so i can walk back in if i want to.

It means that she has a BF but is not really sure if he is 100% into her or vica versa... maybe his personality was not what she hoped for....Some ppl are shallow and they go for looks, leaving them empty in the relationship..."MAYBE has a BF" just means MAYBE>..unsure of self needs for her date! Well, if you ask me, it's either she's not sure what her status is. Maybe they're not officially together, or it could mean that she's with the guy, but just not serious with him.
