Dear Michelle K,
First i think that our own personal beliefs should be questioned by ourselves. Meaning that we ought to know what we believe and we ought to have a basis for our belief. Not just- this was the way that i was raised, this was what my parents are... but our faith should be personal and something that is formed on personal convictions that are substantial beyond our personal opinions. For me as a Christian that solid foundation is the Bible. And as Jesus advises- consider the cost before you build a house.
That being said- i think there is room for examining the basis of one's beliefs. i think most people on your who disgaree - would disagree as to how it's being disagreed upon.
i believe there is a God, someone believes there is not. Can we have a decent conversation about it and be friends? Sure, i'm a youth pastor and my brother is an atheist! We go to ball games together, i babysit his son, and we have conversations about life and things. (i also have friends who are atheists and different religions). You share what you believe is right because you love people- and that's the point of sharing...
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

Always question the voices in the heads of the religious before accepting anything they tell you as truth.

My religious beliefs are just that, my religious beliefs. Yours are yours. I do not care if you are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Druid, or Pagan. My dad used to say "Whatever floats your boat". If you are content with whatever religion you are fine, just do not try to force it down my throat. I will keep my God off of your lawn if you keep your God off of mine.

Yes, if they can't back up their beliefs then that's their problem, not the problem of those who critique their beliefs.
Allowing a falsehood to go unchallenged means that decisions will be made on that falsehood and those decisions that will be made will not be good ones.

if people have beliefs too fragile for questioning, they need to stay off of online religious sites.

Nope. But there is a line between belief and ignorance which leads to voilence and that should be questioned, coz people tend to take advantage of it.

you couldn't question the religious beliefs of people, after all, we all have our own beliefs...all we could do is to respect each others's faith....
