there may have a forecast of rain, but without God there would be no rain. It reminds me of the story of Elijah who was told that God would send rain, did Elijah just sit there and wait for it to rain, no HE PRAYED until it rained- why? Because his faith was in God. I think the governor was praying for rain before the forecast- and God heard Him then, and he asked others to pray. Why is it so wrong to pray for rain? Why does it bother people so much? Maybe because if they really realized God is real, they would have to look within themselves and realize they are sinners, in need of a Savior- please do not say I am pointing fingers, I am a sinner too- that chose to believe

I am surprised at the answers because it was in the forecast. Trust me if there were no rainfall in my area for a long period of time, I definitely would not wait to pray until I could get my prayer televised! I know the people in Georgia prayed way before the weather forecast said there would be rain! Just another way of the media trying to discredit Christianity! I believe it took so long because a lot of times some people only pray to God when it conveniences themselves and then when the problem is solved, go back to their own ways forgetting about God. I believe a person should pray to God always not only when a problem arises. Also, God is all about timing. God may not come when you want him to come but he always come on time! Praise the Lord!

Perhaps many Georgia residents humbled themselves in the presence of the Lord and the heavens could no longer contain God's goodness to His people! For those who didn't, God allows the rain to fall on the just and the unjust.

Rain? Rain? Where? It hasn't happened in my area (near Savannah)
Keep those prayers coming, y'all.
Yes, I use the word "y'all." It means "you all."
I refuse to give it up.

Because the prayers took place one day before forecasters said it would rain.
Why did it rain there today without the gov'nor asking for rain?
Why are they still a couple months away from running out of usable water in Lake Lanier?

You can't base something on what some know-it-all meteorologist THINKS is going to happen. Weather stations screw up all the time and this is one of those "screws-up-all-the-time" moments.
