No it isn't, there is no such thing as a true religion.
In western countries non-belief is actually growing very quickly (all religions in western countries have lost ground although fundamentalist variants have gained slightly) and non-western countries are either following the trend of the western countries or will follow the trend of the western countries.
Islam is growing mainly through fertility which is not sustainable (either they reproduce faster than available resources increase and then get mass starvation or they reduce reproduction rates and so stop growing) along with some forced conversion in the third world.
Religion is often thought to be growing in the developing world but that is a myth because what is actually happening is that the traditional religions of the tribes there are being replaced with Christianity and Islam by force or by bribe. Eventually as those countries become more prosperous they'll follow the west and transition away from religion and end up as majority atheist (they'll probably do the transition quicker too).

Statistically, according to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the six fastest growing religions are:
Islam 1.84% growth
Bahai 1.7% growth
Sikhism 1.62% growth
Jainism 1.57% growth
Hinduism 1.52% growth
Christianity 1.32% growth
Note: most of the growth in each religion is attributed to children being born into existing religious families as opposed to conversions.

Islam may very well be the fastest growing religion in the world, but that hardly means that it is the best religion. It seems to me there could be many factors contributing to Islam's rapid increase in adherents.
1) Muslims tend to have large families
2) Islam actively recruits young disgruntled men (particularly in prisons)
3) Inflated numbers (just because someone tells you they believe in something doesn't mean they are being honest)

It seems like the title of "fastest growing religion" is as sought after and abused by the court jesters of morondom as the title of "buckle of the Bible Belt".
I swear, if the Bible Belt had that many buckles, it'd be one of those big gaudy girls' belts that are made entirely out of buckles.
Oh, and numbers don't make you right. That's an easy fallacy. Logically, you should agree that if everyone were jumping off of bridges (or, perhaps, flying into skyscrapers), everyone should join in.

well, you're right, this is the truthful religion..
Islam allows everyone to think carefully before they convert to Islam. No compulsion to enter this religion.
If you are looking for the truthful religion, you need one that regulates every single thing in your life. Just as when you are looking for a school for your son/daughter; you will try to find one that has complete regulation, don't you? This school offers parents to consider before they register their children. The parents are allowed to see the 'interior', the teachers, even the teaching-learning process; the whole of the schools, before they make their decision.
If the school is proved to be trusted, then it will be normal if its students are always increasing every year.
We don't live for nothing; there's something we always seek in this life (happiness, truth, honesty, etc.). It's impossible if we live in this life just for laughing, working, moving from bar to bar, having fun, without any law. (Imagine when a school has no clear goals, lessons, teachers! Where will the students be brought to...)

Since a vast percentage of Islamics "become" Islamic out of fear of harm of every sort, who knows who actually is Islamic in their heart and who is making appearances in order to survive? 'Truthful religion'? Anything but truthful by my definition, and definitely not from God who honors liberty of the individual above all else, even when the beloved creature's eternal future hangs on what they decide about him.

I would say Wicca's the fastest growing religion, with a annual growth rate of 143%
Argumentum ad populum is a logical fallacy, by the way.

Truthful religion - there is no such thing.
The fastest growing religion, much to my own surprise, is Ba'hai - but I think that's by proportional growth rate, not actual number of people.
