That's all stuff you'll pick up through talking to the locals for a long period of time. If you make an effort to put on an accent or use stereotypically Australian words, you'll look silly.
Just talk normally, you'll be understood.

I have tutored English as a second language for 6 years. and although I've spoken English all my life I still learn .I guess you are an adult. Adults from another country never loose there accents. Here in Australia we are a multi cultural country and you will hear English in many accents. Some people here have lived in Australia 40 or 50 years and I can still detect an accent say from England in them. although their accents have become more neutral. Australia has a lot of slang in there english and that will take time to pick up. New sayings come out often. If you go to lessons at say the Taffe college there are many books you can borrow with thousands of sayings in them. The more time you spend with Australian native speakers the quicker you will learn. You don't ever have to use Australian slang but it helps to know a lot of it to understand what they are saying. Never be afraid to ask. Good luck. Ill give you one example The word toilet has many different words meaning the same . Some say dunny but you would never say to someone where is the dunny but you may read that word somewhere.also can be called lavatory and bog and lots more words. If you are out somewhere you may ask if you are female where is the ladies or where are the toilets please or where is the rest room please. Some sayings I pick up with using my imagination from what the rest of the sentence entailed. You are in for a fun ride good luck and you will find it interesting . don't forget to laugh on your way instead of being nervous about it.
