I knew our family was hurting a little but I asked my husband if I could put today's groceries on the credit card and he said it was on the verge of being maxed out and if things don't change we are going to be bankrupt after Christmas.
He usually pays all the bills for the house I have asked him to show me and he has yet to sit down with me and show me where our money is going. I know he's not spending it or hiding anything from me. We can't seem to make ends meet aparently.
We have 2 kids and are expecting a third. We have gotten my brother to take over my car payments and insurance (as he needed a car and we did not need 2). I have gotten my parents to take over the cell phone bill and the satellite dish bill as we share and we payed for them for a year and now they will pay for it for a year. We have quit smoking and eating out as much. I can't figure it out.
I'm a stay at home mom and my one daughter goes to play school 3 days a week so she can socialize with other kids.

I'm not sure anyone would hire anyone who is preggers. And I have recently started selling avon which has not proved profitable yet but I have bought most of my Christmas presents from Avon which is good cause I have saved a considerable amount on my gifts. So I'm hoping once Christmas is over this will be different but I need some help to figure this out

your first step is to see a financial counsellor. they will help you sort thru your debt and give you options on how to tackle your debt, they can also negotiate on your behalf with your creditors to help you thru your difficult times.

This service is free in Australia, i have no idea where you are.

what is obvious your current financial plan is not working, and needs to be changed as soon as possible. you dont have to do that alone.

You need to get on-line and look at your bank account... call the bank, tell them your account number and any other info and get access to your account on their website.
Find out where the money is going NOW.
This is your family's survival on the line.
You need both your credit ratings in good shape to do much of anything these days.

Your new mantra is, “If the mama ain’t happy, then NOBODY is happy.” The mama is the ultimate authority. You must step into your power as such. Learn what is going on NOW, and don't accept any stonewalling on his part. Take control of the situation.

Having your relatives paying your bills for you is only feeding what looks like a bad habit. It may buy some time, but it sounds like putting a band-aid on an amputation.

I know how easy it is to get in debt. You need to look at your needs. If you have massive credit card bills, check out one of the services that takes your credit card bills and lets you pay lower payments without the high interests. You can't have a card while you are paying them, but they do help you get out of trouble. Be careful and look at all the details carefully. One of them did help us, but it has changed, so I can't recommend it, since I don't know how it changed.

You need to talk to your husband and make him talk to you. It could be he's ashamed or embarrassed to admit how things got this way. Let him know that you can get through this together, but it won't help if he doesn't include you.

I wish you the best of luck. You may have to find at least a part time job, and I know how hard that can be when pregnant. Check into WIC and other agencies that may be able to help you.

Take care.

Try doing a google search on Dave Ramsey. He has his own radio show and is an author of many books. He focuses on helping people get out of debt. often if you can find his radio channel near you, call in, and explain your situation he will talk to you and try to help you as much as he can. He will then sometimes give you a free book, success kit thingy, or will give you free tickets to come to his get out of debt event if he's near you. His plan called "Debt snowball" which is simply a plan that helps you pay off your debt. you start by paying off the smallest things completely off first, and then work your way up to the high cost debts. I have listed his web site below under sources.
Good Luck and God bless! ;)
