A regular blood test will not test for a lot of heart problems, like cholesterol. It is always a good idea when going for a blood test to go for a full panel. Make sure you request this with a doctor. Some tests only test your white blood cells, plat-let count, screen for disease or heart disease. A full panel should give you a pretty accurate view of your health.

a regular bloodtest does not reveal everything about the body. a routine test is usually done eg. for an annual exam for screening purposes but not all diseases are screened/accounted for. specialized exams are done when the situation/condition of the patient calls for it. when we speak of healthy, it means a lot of things, physical, emotional, mental. that is the reason your md examines you so that clinically your md will have an idea what you may have and what other tests you may need. if your regular bld test was normal then you are basically alright granting you have no clinical complaints.

there are billions of diseases out there and many cant even be tested for. there is certainly no one test to test for everything. but your 'regular' blood test with the absence of any symptoms means you're pretty healthy
