We are doing the Tony Ferguson diet which basically means all I can use to make our one meal a day is 120g of meat for me, 200g meat for hubby and a bunch of vegetables excluding corn/carrots/potatoes and legumes. As you can guess its been pretty boring so far, this is only day 4 for me and all we have been having is some steak or chicken with cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and some baby beans (I dont even think the baby beans are allowed!!) We can also use sauces as long as they are less than 5g carbs per 100mL. Please some creative kitchen genius, HELP ME!! We are so bored of these bland meals with the same old same old. I can make salad instead but its pretty boring also. I need some inspiration, I want to make something that tastes nice out of all this flavourless stuff

How about some chili?? This is Blue Ribbon chili:

INGREDIENTS
2 pounds ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
2 1/2 cups tomato sauce
1 (8 ounce) jar salsa
4 tablespoons chili seasoning mix
1 (15 ounce) can light red kidney beans
1 (15 ounce) can dark red kidney beans

DIRECTIONS
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the ground beef and the onion and saute for 10 minutes, or until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain grease, if desired.
Add the ground black pepper, garlic salt, tomato sauce, salsa, chili seasoning mix and kidney beans. Mix well, reduce heat to low and simmer for at least an hour.
Wine Tip

Try with a California Zinfandel or Syrah.

Is it allowed to saute or roast vegetables? -- green and red peppers, sweet onions, spinach, mushrooms, swiss chard, garlic, zucchini, eggplant, olives, tomatoes, celery, squash, artichokes... (you can use lowfat spray-on cooking oil...and throw in wine or sherry with sautes for fancy flavor....)
For meat, what about fish?? e.g. salmon. And turkey or ham?
Also get into herbs and spices, especially, for tons of flavor: coriander, thyme, oregano, rosemary, dill, chili powder, cumin, curry, cinnamon ...check out Indian and vegetarian cookbooks for yummy ideas for cooking with lowfat vegetables and spices. Good luck and happy cooking!
Oh, and there's tons of websites which have healthy dishes too....
