I was very sick on a couple of Thanksgivings. My Mom made me a 'care' plate, covered and refrigerated it for another day when I could eat it.

Ya know, I used to constantly get tummy aches the night before a big holiday. It might just be holiday jitters or excitement. Look for other symptoms, but otherwise for just a tummy ache Pepto always works great and so do Tums chewable tablets....best of luck and I hope he feels better soon.

Poor little guy! The flu has already made it's rounds in my family. The best thing to do is wait and see if he shows any sure fire symptoms (diarhea, thowing up) and then restrict his diet. You don't need to call the doctor unless he's dehydrated or shows other extreme symptoms. If he is sick, he probably won't be interested in eating. Just save him a plate for when he feels better and keep him on fluids until he can hold stuff down. I hope he feels better!

Sadly it happens every year. Someone in the family gets sick. When we were younger, one of my siblings or myself would have a stomach virus every Thanksgiving. Now that we're grown our kids are getting sick on Thanksgiving. My four year old nephew has been in the hospital 3 Thanksgivings. We thought he was going to have to go in this year too, but he's feeling better now. (Asthma)
Put a plate of food up for your son if he's feeling too sick to eat. Maybe by the end of the day he'll feel better. Leftovers will be good tomorrow too.

Did he perhaps over eat? Sometimes, kids eat too much and they get a belly ache and it will go away after a couple of days. Tell your kid to take it easy if his stomach feels this way. If he still feels this way in about 4 days, go to the doctor and see what they have to say.

He doesn't need to eat a heavy meal if he has an upset tummy, and it is not being unfair to him. Being sick on xmas stinks. Missing a calorie festival is not a big deal.
My brothers always swore that the day after, or leftovers, was the best part. Save him some food.
p.s. Give him some flat soda for his stomachache. Tell him to sip it.

My child is complaining too,if it is above the belly button it is usually food related,if it is below the belly button then it is sick related, either not having the right bowl movement or too much.I hope this helps and pepto always makes a kid feel better and so does chicken broth.Happy Thanksgiving!!

Flu doesn't cause a tummy ache. Let him eat bland foods and lie down a lot. If he gets worse, you might have to stop being selfish and put your child's health above shopping.

If he still has a stummy (stomach and tummy mixed, what my daughters call it) ache when we wakes up, have him lay on the couch and watch some tv to lighten his stomach's pressure. Walking around could hurt it.
Give him some tea or hot choco may work.

stop the milk and sugar. Hot honey tea is good for tummy aches.
