I have myopia (nearsightedness). Is it possible to cure this myopia with exercises with the eyes. I have been doing some exercises about 3 times a month, and actually have had slim improvement. I recently had an exam from a ophthalmologist and my vision improved from -2.25 to -2.00. Was this just a fluke from the exam, or was it actually improvement on the eyes?

The improvement was about 1 year from last year to this year.

Yes. your eyes have improved. Eye exercises help to improve myopia and if you do the exercises continuously, you might not even need your glasses anymore! i also do eye exercises. check out the links below for more eye exercises.

Even if there is a slight improvement I doubt that you'll be able to go to a -1.50 or less. Think of it this way, a lot of the times myopia is due to ones anatomy, i.e., if your eyeball is "too long" you will be myopic. So, having said that, no matter how much you'll exercise those eye muscles it won't, unfortunately, change the anotomy of your eye which is the primary cause of nearsightedness to begin with.

that would be one explanation...

It was probably improvement for the eyes, if you have been doing exercises recently and have noticed an improvement.

The "improvement" is within the tolerance limits of the eye exam. Had you improved from -2.00 to no glasses, that would be improvement.
