I would use 2 tea bags, but if you like it stronger, use 3.

In my coffee maker, I use three large family size tea bags for a gallon of tea. That equals about 9 normal sized bags. So maybe 5? I like it not to be so see-through.

I use 3 tea bags in my 2 quart iced tea maker so it'll be strong enough.

For 2 quarts I use 12 tea bags. It makes it perfect. Also you might want to put your sugar in with the ice so that way it will blend together.
