I just turned 18.For the time being I'm living with my grandparents because my parents have major issues i refuse to fix them anymore.Anyway my boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 years. He said i could come stay with him next summer before i go to college.Thing is hes 21,I've never met him before and he still lives at home(he really helps out his parents and he was going to move out but his dad is having shoulder surgery soon so he needs to be around for that).Should i do it ?I just want opinions and please no rudeness about the Internet dating thing.Thanks.

umm to tell you the truth i would usually give people dirt about online dating but in you scenario i think its awesome...cuz you have trusted eachother for 2 years at least now and that means that it would be great to meet him and since you can trust eachother you know you will be completely comfortable with eachother at the house and i think it would be awesome to try...and you ALWAYS have options if you dont like it
: ) have fun

He sounds like a really good guy! Is there any way you can do a background check on him? Just to be sure he is who he says he is.

Also, I'm concerned that you will be staying with him--the sleeping arrangements? If everything checks out, and he is who he says he is, I would caution you to not jump into anything so soon. After all, meeting face to face is much different than chatting online. Get to know him for the summer, and not in the biblical way. ;)

If you decide to do this, make sure you have a way to get back home pronto if necessary. Have an escape plan. Just in case.

I do hope he is as kind a man as he has led you to believe, and I do hope that you will consider my advice and find out about him and his family's history.

how about going for a visit first? I mean, how well can you really know someone if you haven't been able to spend time together in a physical situation? I'm not dissing the whole internet dating thing--I just know that things can be different when you're with that person face-to-face.

NO - i think u need to get to know him in person before going to live with someone u have NEVER met before!
U need to see if this is the right person for u by getting to know him "in person" before making such a big decision.
U dont want to go thru something u will learn to regret, right??

One thing I know is that good still exists in this world. If you want to take this relationship to the next level, then do it because this will go far beyond trust.
