She should try to got to both. She might be late for one but who cares, she already had one dinner! But do trust her to make the right choice.

How old is your daughter? If she is under the age of 16. then you should be deciding, as her mother, to attend her own families dinner.

If she is older, then you should suggest to her that you would really like them to attend your dinner. You are trying to make her feel better, by dilly dallying around your motherly duties.

For goodness sake, doesn't any mother on this Answer site, act like mothers. Everybody seems to be passing the buck regarding their own children. What do you expect them to grow up like.

It boggles the mind.

Maybe she is having a hard time riht now, and does not want to cause a fight with her boyfriend. because if she goes home to you then her man can act on the rebound and say that she wants nothing to do with his family...and visa versa. you need to call her up, or go and talk to her, to see what the real problem is. Every one can give their ideas, but you will never know the truth until you talk to her yourself.

Maybe you should be the PARENT and tell her she is going to the family Thanksgiving and not her boyfriends! Who is running this family? The dog?

Tell her that you will save her a platefull of everything she likes if she wants to go over there for their feast.
Tell her to go over to her boyfriend's, at least for dessert... just to be sociable.
