I go to a Catholic school, but when my public school friends go on Myspace and comment, it is always "JEWWWW"
Their names are "Dew the Jew" and "Jew Curls"
Their pet peeves are "when jews talk to them"
I am too nervous to ask... what's up with that?

It's just kids and ignorance. Most of them have probably never met a Jew in their lives. It's stupid, and childish, but that's the way some people are.
Edit: Don't get yourself into trouble on our account. We've been taking care of ourselves for 3,000 years :-) People like you describe aren't worth your trouble or mine. But thank you for your thoughts.

That's really cruel of them. You're right that everyone is created equally, and they're the ones that are causing the trouble. You should ask them why they have a hatred of people who are Jewish, and explain to them that everyone's entitled to their personal beliefs and that by not accepting other's beliefs it's making them pathetic and hypocritical. By standing up for other people, no matter what religion or ethnicity they are, you are doing the right thing - even if it means going against your friends for something you know in your heart is right.

I hardly ever say "Jew" unless I am listing a person of the Jewish faith.

the only time 'Jew' comes up in conversation is when we are discussing religion or the mid east. other than that ,Jews just don't come to mind.

I mean, just try writing a catchy poem with the word "Muslim" or "Christian". "Jew" is a lot easier
