I've been talking to this guy on the phone for about 3 months. He's an amazing guy but I can't seem to "get "him!
We used to spend hours on the phone, he'd call me 3 times a week. Now, we're both busy people, I understand, but he doesn't call me as often as he used to, now we talk every 7-10 days. AND he never calls during on weekends, AND he doesn't seem very eager about actually taking me out...
although he says he likes me alot, and how lucky he is to have met me.
He's being deployed in 3 months, could he be avoiding attachment because of that?

Him being deployed could be a strong possibility. The man is probably really nervous. Its obviously a tough situation to go through.
Ask him about it,
Hes also maybe not wanting to commit anymore to you if her fears something bad could happen to him so as not to make you feel so bad too if something goes wrong overseas. The best thing to do is to just let him know how you feel. There is nothing else you can really do. If the feelings are not mutual you will just have to move on.

I am assuming that he is in the military. If he is, then I know where he is coming from being a former member of the US Navy. There is a good chance he is not in a position right now where he can call you more often. The military can demand a LOT of your time while deployed overseas. It also depends on what the situation is where he is currently located at.
If he is in the middle of a hot spot or a war zone, then he most definately can't easily call you for obvious reasons. He has more important things like surviving and not giving away his position. He might be under orders not to call as often or there aren't ample facilites whre he can call you. You also have to take into account the amount of money that it cost to call internationally as well.
Be patient. When he calls, you will have lots to talk about.

yea or it could be that he has found someone else. Just because someone is getting deplyed doesn't mean they shoudl have a relationship. Well just let him go if you want but it he sounds disinterested is maybe becuase he's going to be deplyed and he won't be able to chat with you more.

sounds like hes avoiding being attached, ask him if he has plans beyound deployment and if you are in those plans
