If you want to do what you just listed above, then get the 60GB or 80GB PS3.

The 20GB and 60GB PS3 has the best backwards compatibility with PS1 and PS2 games because it has the Emotion Engine chip built in and can play almost every PS1 and PS2 game ever made.

The 80GB PS3 is also backwards compatible, but it just can't play as many PS1 and PS2 games as the 20GB and 60GB because it doesn't have the Emotion Engine chip in it. The 80GB PS3 uses Emulation Software to be backward compatible. The 80GB PS3 can play a very large majority of PS1 and PS2 games though.

if you want to play ps2 games i suggest that you get the 60gb version because it has the emotion chip (aka the ps2 chip) inside the ps3. Therefore it allows for hardware support. The 80gb ps3 does come with backwards capability, but it is only software support. (no emotion chip) So get a 60gb if you can. As all ps3s already play dvds, music and will support the upcoming divx format.

If you want PS2 backwards compatable... get any of the PS3s except the 40GB.

All the PS3s play DVDs, internet, music, pictures etc
