I like a guy and he likes me but I don't want to ask him out, I want him to ask me out, but he's scared to. What do I do?

I guess I left out some parts to the story...
he doesn't want to ask me out because he thinks my best friend hates him. He doesn't know that she actually doesn't hate him. He decided he was not going to ask me out because he doesn't want to ruin my friendship with my friend.

Let him notice you smiling at him, it may take him a while, just let him keep seeing you do so and then he'll build up the courage.

Why do you have to wait for him to ask you out? Why don't you take the bull by the horns and ask him out? I know it is out of tradition that it is the guys who are supposed to be the ones who pursue love, sex, and romance. It is the year 2007 and more women are showing more initiative in all areas of life including relationships. What is the worst that can happen? He says no?
Look at it this way. You didn't have him before and you don't have him now. What did you lose? It would be his loss. Dude really should man up and ask you out and I get that. If you really want him to be the one to ask him out, then you need to flirt and drop subtle hints. If he is still too chicken to ask you out, then he may not be man enough for you to be around.

Some guys never make a move. You could try yourself. You can't expect a guy to make a move all the time; females do it too. If you like him so much ask him at your own risk and dont sit there and wait for somebody else to ask him out. Time is precious.

wow..this happened to me too but not b/c of ruining a relationship wit a friend...he thnks guys shuld mak the first move but he never did cuz hes really shy so i did it but he thinks itz weird cuz grls arent suppose to mak the first move
but anwyas i think u should ask him out

You should just flirt with him and keep giving him hints to ask you out
He might not ask you out because he might think that you don't like him or he is to shy to ask you .
You should tell someone to tell him that you like him.
Last time my freind liked this boy and he liked her and she asked me if i could set them up and i did and they have been going out for 2 months

well what i would do is flirt with him...heres a hint flirt with him one day like asking him to help u and stuff do that all day then the next day dont then thenext mabey like half a day and so on and so on then he will start to wonder if he should ask u out....if that doesnt work then flirt with him alot! lol hoped this helped!

It he's scared to ask you out... just ask him out instead. What's the problem with that? Don't expect him to muster up the courage any time soon.
