If the muslims would quit trying to blow us up that would be a big first step.

A Muslim Martin Luther and Islamic Reformation would be a nice gesture too.

Hmm, um, no way. Not if one converts to the other (yeah right). Despite similar beliefs I just can't see it happening especially with the war on terrorism. It puts a bad light on Islam, no not every Muslim is for violence, and I highly doubt the Christians is going to let the Muslims live that one down. I'm sorry for being a pessimist, but that's how it is for me. Sure some get along just fine but total unity seems too idealistic.

By opening their minds to see Truth through both facets of the gem. Not only can Christian and Muslim unite, so can Mormons, Atheists, Spiritualists, Pagans and even Jainists! All religions, if they can put aside the prideful "I'm right and you're wrong" can unite by saying "This is what I believe, let me try to understand how you believe."

Blessings in the Light of Christ!

Christians and muslims can be united if
1)respect each other religion, your religion is yours and my religion is mine,do not insult each other
2)do not talk about differences between the 2 religions if it is not wished by both in knowing each other
4)do not say that his /her religion is worse than mine
5)talk only something that is interested by both such common interest about job, hobbies etc
6)be tolerant in practising the obligation of his/her own religion in daily life,do not prohibite someone to pray on time
in line with his/her religion,if you can plese give him/her its facility
7)remind each other if he/she forget someting in line with his/her religion tradition.

I think there are things we could do get us closer together...

1 - solve the Palestinian State Issue.
2 - get western influence out of the middle east
3 - Try or release the prisoners in Guantanamo. If they are guilty, lets prove it and lock em up.

They can unite on a personal level but not on a spiritual one because the beliefs systems are opposed to one another.

It is going on as we speak in Indonesia and other parts of the world.
Both are working together to rebuild the Tsunami ravaged island s in the South Pacific / Indian Ocean. It is awesome to see how God can use a tragedy to bring people together.

I dont think its so much a religious problem as it is a political one.
but i still think that people need more tolerance and there is not much of that in the world.
