This question will require honesty upon the part of the participants. It will also require you to come back here Friday and edit your answer. I would like you to go weigh yourself now. How much do you weigh? If you really don't want to say, that is okay, because, like I said, this question requires honesty. So make up a number that correlates with your actual weight. And Friday, weigh yourself again and tell me how much you weigh then.
The Prize? Whoever gains the most weight, and again, this will require honesty, will be heretofore known as Mr/Ms Thanksgiving of R/S. And they get best answer.
My guess is that Atheists will pig out more than Christians, and Pagans will come in third, but that is just my guess. Like to find out?
Today, November 21st, I weigh 167 lbs. I hope to become Mr. Thanksgiving of R/S by gaining at least 5lbs. by Friday.

My secret plan of success is, I only ate breakfast this morning, and I am going to eat all day long. Smoked turkey, pumpkin pie, mashed taters and gravy and cranberry dressing, sweet potatoes in butter and brown sugar, green bean casserole, fresh baked rolls with butter and honey, mmm, stuffing, BEER!, and maybe later, shhh don't tell anyone, a Vanilla Vodka.

Hopefully you'll keep this Q open until Friday night so I can report my post-feast weight; we'll be celebrating/pigging out Friday afternoon since my husband has to man the CQ desk on Thanksgiving afternoon and night.
***edit: It is Friday Nov 23, 2007 at 6:39 pm. Just got done eating.. weighing in at 130 pounds

I love pie but it's not thanksgiving here.... hmm I'm making a roast beef though and the smell is driving me insane!
I won't tell you my weight and I will also disclose that I likely won't gain an ounce by Friday. In fact I'll probably lose a pound or two, but I will say that I'm right up there with Patrick when I eat a holiday meal.... well maybe only half of what he eats, but still alot. I love holidays and I strive to eat as much delicious foods as possible on any given holiday....
I promise I'll be honest and let you know if I gained anything though.... ;)
(((((8track))))
happy thanksgiving everyone
EDIT : Friday evening - as I suspected only alittle change - downward. I lost about 1/2 pound. ;)

Hmmm - I have no scale, but last check I weigh exactly the same as you? Wait, are you actually me?
Does working all day on friday count against you? Cause all this on my feet time and doing the mental "vibe" thing to make people buy and come back again has been making me lose weight.
Squirt - PPBBTTT! I used to be you until the past few years. Wait til you hit 40...muhahahahaha!!
8Track - Empenadas??!!! I want some! My mom in law's caregiver used to make great ones (likely still does, but we haven't seen her since mom died.) Got my first taste of hers at Thanksgiving last year. Cough up the recipe, boy!
EDIT- I actually lost a pound...

I'm an atheist who weighs 118 lbs...we don't really do Thanksgiving in Australia but I'm going out to dinner tonight and will be eating a lot, plus not working tomorrow so I won't be working it off...does that count?
Edit: Squirt - I know what you mean!!
Edit: Here it is now Friday and guess what...I still weigh 118 lbs...

I seriously love you, I mean, who wouldn't after asking a question like that. I weigh 128 lbs. I doubt I will win because I don't care for turkey much. The pies might do me in though. :-)
EDIT: I didn't gain any weight either, I actually lost a pound. Can I get a prize for that? haha... I guess I don't get the Ms. Thanksgiving title. :-(

I don't usually "pig out", but on Thanksgiving I make an exception. I can never resist gravy!!! Looks like we're eating the same foods too. ;) I promise to take note of any weight gain and report it to you......lol.
Here's to Mr./Ms. Thanksgiving..............cheers! Let the "pigging" begin! ;)))
EDIT: Didn't gain an ounce! Whew!!! lol
However, I have another Thanksgiving Dinner tomorrow. :)))

3:51a.m., Nov. 22nd
145.5 lbs.
Update:
It's 11:18 p.m. on Friday and I now weigh 143 lbs.
It always happens this way. I eat plates and plates of Thanksgiving food and end up losing weight; my husband sniffs the cranberry sauce and gains 10 lbs. It must be metabolism!

Not fair! I can't gain weight. I've tried all my life. I have never been over 110 pounds except when I was pregnant. My metabolism is rampant on burning calories. I weigh 105 fully clothed. I will weigh 105 fully clothed after tomorrow. So, I will just enjoy reading in on the rest of you.
