Normal people have taken antidepressants - all new drugs have to go through what's called a phase 2 trial where healthy people take the drug to see if there are any dangerous side effects. If the drug passes phase 2, then it can go on to phase 3 which is where it's tried in people who have a disease (in this case, depression) to make sure that it makes them better.

As it turns out, normal folks get the side effects of the medications but they don't feel any better. That is, the anti-depressants don't seem to act as a simple "upper" of mood - for some reason, they only seem to improve the mood of folks who are depressed to begin with.

Anti- depressants take anywhere from two weeks to a month to make effects noticeable in a person whose chemicals aren't balanced.

...Anyway. If there is nothing wrong the with amount of serotonin your brain is releasing, taking anti- depressants will have no effects.

Ehh, You make feel great at the time time. But soon you will get addicted to it and feel like you need them all the time. Serious problems and habits with occur. The longer you take them, the quicker you are killing yourself. Ask your doctor first. (I know you hear "Ask your doctor" alot, but hey it works) Once you get addicted to them, it's going to be a long, hard, road to get back on track and away from the depressants.

You might be in an extra good mood. But then you could mess with your brain and cause yourself to become dependent on them.

You would hurt yourself.
BTW- "normal" people get depressed and need medication.
Abnormal people take drugs frivolously and with no regard to common sense.
