The last 5 months, I drove my car. A co worker of mine told me he doesn't live that far either so rides his bike to work, he gets up a little earlier, takes a shower at work(where I work they do have two showers, a locker area and a gym, only reason why I don't ride at this time is because being a out of shape guy for cardio, making it there would be a big time struggle, so would you guys recommend just keep at it? Another option is walking, but 3.7 miles would take a long long time each day. And the last option I just recently considered the go-ped method, (the site is http://urbanscooters.com/cgi-bin/urbanscooters/SPORT.html) I figure this would save me more money than the car? So the options are walking, biking, go-ped, and car. My pro and cons for each are walking(Long but Great savings in $) Bike(Helps me loose weight, but will need to shower and get ready at work) go-ped(Fun and probably saves me some money but upfront costs) Car(quickest & most costly). Any opinions?

If you look at your goals of saving money, getting a little healthier, not taking a whole lot of time, and then if you analyze each choice, it becomes obvious.

bicycling is the only choice you mentioned that works well.

It takes a little planning, but its not a big challenge. You will save money, you will get healthier, it wont take much more time.

Forget the goped, they are expensive and don't make you any healthier.

As far as the shower thing, you are just showering at a different time and place.

don't get a real expensive bike. but get one that feels good to you.

I agree with cycling as the best option - exercise, fresh air and small carbon-footprint. If a normal bike is scary or uncomfortable, why not consider a recumbent. They typically have big, comfortable mesh or padded seats. Three-wheel versions are available too.

I would go with biking. Try it out one day on a weekend or something, and see how long it takes you. 3.7 miles is nothing to bike, unless you're super out of shape. Even if you haven't exercised recently, you should be able to do it.

I take a nap or make myself busy with something. If they are hundreds of miles away either it didn't work out, the timing was wrong or they or away for only a moment. Either way- let it go.

The CHEAPEST and most effiecent way is prolly going to be a small electric or gas scooter... there pretty cheap, real effiecent... they will also get you there faster... 10 mph means you will get there in about 20 min or so...

You could try carpooling also. That may help.
